Arconic Fastening Systems in Fullerton is seeking a skilled Electrician for 2nd shift.

Oversee and perform a variety of duties to maintain, repair and install company electrical equipment.
 
Essential Functions
  • Must be able to travel to other AFS sites, primarily Acuna Mexico for 2 to 3 weeks per month
  • Repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Inspect and test electrical lighting, signal, communication and power circuits.
  • Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, testing lamp or growler.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain any type of electrical equipment systems, instruments, communication and control systems or components. Lubricate and change filters on equipment as scheduled or required. Make related mechanical repair necessary to effect electrical, electronic and/or air conditioning repairs.
  • Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments or replacement.
  • Oversee or perform complex or difficult maintenance repairs or installations.
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures.
  • Follow p. m. schedules, fill in report forms and make routine or special written reports.
  • Mount control boxes and cabinets and run conduit using good workmanship and generally accepted electrical practices.
  • Lay out, size conductors, pull wire, terminate, phase and energize power supply to machines or systems.
  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical circuitry of moderate complexity.
  • Troubleshoot industrial motor controls up to 200 hp.
  • Install and troubleshoot lighting systems.
  • Make schematic, size cabinet, lay out, install components, and wire up control panels for moderately complex devices.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications  
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and five years minimum related experience
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Comprehension of motors used in industrial applications
  • Understanding of electrical distribution equipment: panels, bus ducts, cabinet hardware
  • Knowledge of overcurrent & ground fault protection: Circuit Breakers, GFI, fuses, fuse coordination
  • Knowledge of electronic variables speed motor controls
  • Knowledge of ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, testing lamp or growler.
