This Maintenance Area Lead requires a comprehensive background in forging technology (or familiarity with another similar metalworking technology) and thorough knowledge of maintenance and inspection procedures, as well as demonstrated ability to train, develop and motivate subordinates, including a team of both salaried supervisors and bargaining represented hourly maintenance personnel.  This position has overall managerial responsibility for 24/7 maintenance operations.  The principal challenge of this position is to lead and direct maintenance resources in the fulfillment of Cleveland Works business objectives.
   
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
 
  • Setting expectations to ensure that EHS objectives, activities, and plans are achieved.  Leading and participating in the development of a safety driven culture and incident free workplace;
  • Managing and setting expectations for the Wheels Maintenance team;
  • Ensuring that preventative and responsive maintenance resources and programs are in place to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation at Cleveland site that covers multiple plants of manufacturing and office space;
  • Promoting and leading the development and application of predictive maintenance, Root Cause Analysis, Total Productive Maintenance, and control/capability of critical processes;
  • Participating in the identification, recruitment, training, appraising, and professional development of maintenance resources.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's level degree in Engineering from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience performing Maintenance troubleshooting activities in a manufacturing environment;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the forging industry, or other metalworking industry
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of supervising or leading a team of salaried/managerial employees
