Arconic is currently in search of a talented Maintenance Coordinator to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) Operations business unit in Alcoa, TN. Arconic’s Global Rolled Products Business is a leading manufacturer of highly-differentiated aluminum sheet and plate products for the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, brazing and industrial markets.  

The Maintenance Coordinator will act as liaison between production, engineering and maintenance in regard to all maintenance issues. This position is accountable for the 24/7 operation of the maintenance crews in their respective areas.  This position will direct the activities of the mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance resources for the area.  
These responsibilities include developing/maintaining a strong partnership with the Asset Owners of the area, managing the Maintenance Execution function, and coordinating and working closely with Planning and Reliability Resources.

Among other duties, the successful candidate will be accountable for:
  • Compliance with EHS standards and practices, and results for all maintenance activity in the respective areas
  • Supervising maintenance crew leaders, planners, technical specialists, and/or mechanical and electrical coordinators
  • Coordinating efforts with Planning and Reliability to deliver on results prescribed
  • Labor relations activities, including responses to grievances and day-to-day labor interface
  • Managing departmental budget goals to ensure department reaches cost objectives
  • Implementation of REX/TPM principles, processes, and initiatives
  • Developing and managing process improvement projects
  • Understanding the budget process and reviewing monthly cost activities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical or mechanical experience
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
  • High school degree or GED
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Mechanical or Electrical technical associate’s or engineering bachelor’s degree or other similarly related degree.
  • Those with 5 years' technical supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
