Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Machinist II for our Threadroll Department on 2nd Shift at our Sylmar, CA location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Good communication skills & know basic shop math
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, policies and procedure in English             
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required                                                      
  • Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly              
  • Able to follow and carryout instructions
  • Ability Perform LOTO 
  • Ability to load and unload parts from machine
  • Ability to use SPC during operation for dimensions through measurement for accuracy of parts
  • Become familiar with the Daily Management board and understand covered topics as required        


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Highschool Diploma or GED Required
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this option.
  •  This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) which requires U.S. Person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (ie. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous machine shop experience preferred
