Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for a Forming Press Set Up/Operator for 1st Shift. This position is located at our Aerospace manufacturing plant in Fullerton, CA.

This position sets up and operates or sets up for other operators all types and sizes of forming presses.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assembles and adjusts dye set by selecting proper tooling and tests to assure proper clearance;
  • Sets up according to work order and layouts to insure proper form configuration;
  • Uses precision measuring instruments and reads blueprints to check parts for conformance to specifications;
  • Operates machines to ensure proper functioning and releases to and instructs operators in procedures for producing parts in conformance with specifications;
  • Performs other related tasks in departments to which assigned such as: Assembling, drilling, deburring, sorting, counting, etching, stamping, recording of parts processed and housekeeping;
  • Reads blueprints and has knowledge to use micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, depth micrometers and dial indicators as needed;
  • S.P.C. charting as required.
