Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a skilled machine set up/operator to work in our Manufacturing Facility in Fullerton, CA..

Summary:
Set Up/Operates, various types of automatic presses, tappers, crimpers, 3 in 1 line etc. in the departments to which assigned. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Checks quality of production coming off machines; 
  • Checks parts to blueprints specifications using plug gauges, depth gauges, micrometers and specialized gauges checks cosmetics of parts;
  • Maintains stock oilers at proper levels. Ensures sufficient coil stock is on machines and notifies progressive die technician of any shortages or malfunctions of dies;
  • Maintains an accurate count of production on a daily basis or as required and makes out pan tickets on completed jobs;
  • Obtains follow up work orders from control center and checks material specifications from work order to coil stock;
  • Performs other related tasks in departments to which assigned such as: Assembling, drilling, deburring, sorting, counting, etching, stamping, recording of parts processed and housekeeping;
  • Reads blueprints and has knowledge to use micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, depth micrometers and dial indicators as needed;
  • S.P.C. charting as required.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience setting up/operating machinery in a machine shop environment;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
