The Machining Operations Manager is required to lead the day to day operations of Arconic Engines Savannah Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team that includes Supervisors, Machinists, Programmers and Engineers.

Some of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and lead a team capable of sustained operational success.
  • Install an environment of empowerment and accountability.
  • Drive a culture of safety, continuous improvement and ownership.
  • Shipment of products in accordance with customer requirements, free of damage, with all required documentation.
  • Interprets company policies and procedures for employees and enforces consistency
  • and sustainability.
  • Develops and implements measures to improve Machining Operations, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists team members in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate direct reports and team members to achieve work goals.
  • Collaborates with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Adheres to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements and attends required training and/or meetings.
  • Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work Instructions. #LI-FS1

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years in a Machining environment.
  • Experience working with G-Code
  • Experience working within an Automation environment.
