Come be part of a growing aerospace manufacturing business in Winsted CT.  Arconic is looking for experienced and entry level Machine Operators at our Winsted CT facility.

We are an advanced manufacturing facility specializing in high-performance engineered products and solutions for the aerospace, industrial gas turbine markets.

Position wheel set-up, operate and maintain at least one process machine (rotary, surface grinder, etc.) meeting both safety and production requirements.
Maintain all quality and production records and assist with training as required.
Perform machine set-up and wheel changes in assigned workstation within standard set-up times.
Maintain all quality and production records including tooling calibration and daily walk around.
Maintain productivity, utilization, schedule and quality records and comply with all standards.
Perform inspection of non-certified operators.
Assist with training of Machine Trainees as required
Perform TPM duties
Perform all other job duties as assigned.

1.     Education:
High school diploma
2.     Skills and Abilities:
Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimal and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, writing diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
Ability to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes
Ability to interpret and follow instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices
3.     Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 1 year of related machining experience (manufacturing, industrial, labor related experience).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is required.  Other personal protective equipment required in production areas are safety glasses with side shields, metatarsal safety shoes and gloves.
