Job Description

Arconic Engines (AE) – a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets.  The ITTP is a 12-18-month rotational technical development training program and candidates must be geographically mobile throughout the program. This role is ideal for a new or recent graduate. The ITTP participant will have exposure to both corporate and plant environments. The program will develop candidates into a well-rounded Information Technology professional ready to progress into increasingly challenging assignments.  The ITTP is a flexible program which provides broad exposure to a number of company operations, technical and management systems, organizational levels and problem-solving approaches.  Assignments are cross-functional and each is based on individual interests and the needs of the organization. This position will report to an IT Manager for Arconic Engines.  
Major Activities/Key Challenges:
Consults with Business Unit Customers on effective use of computer software, hardware, and technology; interact with necessary business process and systems owners to effectively understand requirements and implement appropriate systems changes and solutions. 

 Activities involved include, but are not limited to:
  • Development of system, business process, and data flows
  • Interface design
  • Solution development
  • Database Design
  • Infrastructure design, architecture, implementation, and support, including networks, servers, and workstations
  • Development and implementation of systems security
  • Development and execution of test plans
  • Creation of user and technical documentation
  • User Training
  • Effectively utilize a standardized project lifecycle and management methodology to manage projects, communicate status, and deliver work to schedule and budget.
  • Participates in the reactionary support and/or preventive maintenance process for the systems and/or infrastructure in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Stays current with application and/or infrastructure technology in areas of focus or expertise.



Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or Robotics/Automation preferred 
  • Previous Internship / Co-op experience in computer science or a related discipline
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to take initiative / self-starter.
