Arconic is currently in search of an Item Creation Specialist to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) HQ business unit in Davenport, IA.

Since it opened in 1948, Arconic’s Davenport aluminum facility has been at the forefront of American manufacturing. Through continued modernization, including a $300 million investment to increase automotive sheet production, Davenport has maintained its position as the world’s premier aerospace supply plant and is today a hub of Arconic’s $4 billion aerospace business.

The Item Creation Specialist will create and maintain items (finished goods, intermediate, sample and product family) in the Oracle Item Catalog.

  • Review and validate items created by the CSSR team
  • Troubleshoot items, solve to root cause any issues impeding workflow, take corrective action where necessary, or make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Perform activities in the post-item-process, including export compliance, application of bills of distribution, assigning organizations and product families and applying templates.
  • Provide training and guidance in item creation and maintenance for item creators in Inside Sales.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Supply Chain Management, Quality, Sales, or Customer Service
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree and/or two or more years of college
  • Arconic Business System knowledge
  • 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Quality, or Customer Service Work independently with minimum supervision
  • Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Tenacity and creativity to solve problems to root cause
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to transfer knowledge by providing training and coaching to individuals or groups
  • Human relations skills to act as a change agent
  • Results orientation and customer focus
