Arconic is currently in search of a IT Systems Analyst to join our Global Information Services (GIS) Resource Unit in Pittsburgh, PA.

Job Description:
 
The primary roles of the Systems Analyst is to participate in the development, deployment and implementation of new systems, technologies and information solutions; understand, support and enhance existing systems and technologies; and to apply Arconic’s standards, procedures and technologies.  The incumbent will also participate as an internal consultant to Arconic's businesses and various customer groups.
 
Major Activities/Key Challenges:
  • Monitor/complete development requests from internal customers and resolve issues quickly and accurately to meet tight deadlines and accelerated customer priorities.
  • Monitor systems and utilize analytics tools to ensure continuous operation and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work alone or as part of a team to develop, implement, evaluate, procure, and/or support computer systems and information solutions that meet the needs of the customer and add the most value to the company.  This is to be accomplished by utilizing technically sound methods of investigation, analysis, design, planning, and scheduling.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer interaction in order to identify and recommend computer and business solutions to effectively and efficiently satisfy the data processing and information requirements of the business.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business processes or technologies in area(s) of responsibility; participate in and learn how to perform the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with TCS on- and offshore resources on new developments, enhancements and remediation work.
  • Follow appropriate methodologies, support processes, and procedures.
 
Essential Knowledge & Kills/Education:
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Experience with ASP.Net
 Major Customers:
  • Tax and Treasury departments
  • Others as needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in information systems or services, this includes internships or Co-Op experience.
  • Experience with .Net
  • Experience with Oracle database.
  • Possess the ability to read and write Oracle SQL
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Experience with Windows Server and IIS
  • Experience with Classic ASP (VBScript) environment
