Arconic is currently in search of an Internal Audit Director – Global IT to join the internal audit group in Pittsburgh, PA.
 
Primary Purpose of the Job:
 
  • This position in the Internal Audit Resource Unit has global responsibilities and is responsible for providing Information Technology (IT) Internal Audit Leadership.  The IT Audit function’s primary purpose is to evaluate risks in the IT and Process Control Systems (PCS) areas within Arconic.  IT Audit also ensures that operating locations and consolidated resource groups are taking the appropriate measures to address those risks and ensure compliance with SOX requirements, where appropriate. The role works closely with the VP of Audit to build and maintain strong and respected relationships with the Business Units and Resource Groups.  The role will perform audit testing as well as lead complex internal audits in all IT/PCS disciplines on a global basis.
Major Activities/Key Challenges:
 
  • Ensuring the consistent application of audit processes for IT and PCS disciplines in operating regions
  • Communicating effectively with the Vice President of Audit to ensure awareness of issues relevant to the control environment of Arconic.
  • Coaching and mentoring the IT Audit Team as well as other individuals in other audit disciplines 
  • Working closely with Business Units on audit scheduling and control issues
  • Evaluating the audit processes and tools employed by the department for improvement opportunities
  • Managing system administration and help desk support activities for global audit customers and contract management of third-party software provider
  • Serving as sponsor for at least one global Internal Audit process team focused on improving internal audit processes
  • This role will require hands-on supervision, leadership, and participation on field audits, including traveling to audit sites
  • Overseeing the activities of the IT/PCS Audit teams in the field including evaluation of risk and ensuring resources are in place to execute the audit plan
  • Ensuring staff are appropriately developed and overseeing the quality of reporting and audit work performed
  • Leading and influencing the direction and goals of the Company from an audit perspective in the IT/PCS areas and is responsible for maintaining and further developing the IT/PCS Self-Assessment Program.
  • Working closely with the IT Leaders to review audit results, discuss issues, best practices, and new trends or concerns
  • Coordinating work with Arconic's external auditors to ensure the work of internal audit is leveraged by external audit and fees are minimized

  • Experience with infrastructure components on business and manufacturing networks such as servers, database, routers, switches, etc.
  • Travel: Incumbent will be required to travel to company locations, many of which are manufacturing environments and located outside the United States. On an annual basis travel can range up to 50%. For international travel, this position will require a valid passport

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of information technology experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee  
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional credentials and advance education:  MBA, CISA, CIA, CPA, CISSP
  • Experience as an Information Technology manager or in team lead role for at least 5 years
  • Exposure to and familiarity with Arconic's Self-Assessment Tool (ASAT)
  • Experience with manufacturing Process Control Systems (PCS)
  • Experience with business application development and vendor software selection
  • Experience with managing third-party software supplier
