We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as an Occupational Health & Safety Engineer Intern. This position may assist with the following projects:
•         Perform industrial air and noise sampling
•         Develop an EHS training database
•         Develop a medical testing roster based on job function
•         Compile a database of cranes/slings and below the hook devices for a specific operation
•         Interview employees on the process specific operation and then write detailed lock out procedures for that process/equipment
•         Complete machine guarding assessments on multiple pieces of shop floor equipment
•         Participate in an incident investigation

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 
•         A minimum of a sophomore status and currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, or Industrial Hygiene.
•         Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
•         This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status
Preferred Qualifications: 
•         Junior or Senior status preferred
•         3.0 GPA or higher
•         Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus
•         Strong verbal and written communication skills
•         Excellent analytical skills
•         Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
•         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
•         Strong organizational skills
