Job Description

Arconic Forgings and Extrusions is currently looking for a full-time summer intern for our Inside Sales Department in Lafayette, IN. The intern will act as a customer advocate presenting data and making recommendations. The intern will research and analyze strategic initiatives that influence customer’s behaviors and will provide feedback to commercial and marketing teams. The intern will provide support on a range of projects to support the execution of our customer connection.

This will include following established contract review procedures and provide accurate quoting, order entry, status, shipments, returns, credits; being proactive when dealing with the customer and heading off issues before they arise; asking for orders; thanking the customer for their business. Meeting order entry, quoting and status response time objectives. The intern will also provide day-to-day administrative support to the Inside Sales Team as necessary.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain, or other related field
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Ability to connect disparate information together into a cohesive strategy and plan to resolve an issue or take action
  • Strong work ethic and drive to get tasks done
  • Interpersonal relationship building capable of developing trusting relationships both inside Arconic and with external customers
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
