Position Description:
This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks
Performs inspection on machined seamless rolled ring, forgings or tooling to ensure conformance with work orders, blueprints and/or customer requirements. Supports Quality Improvement activities and non-conformance systems.
 

  • Must be able to understand geometrical dimensioning & tolerance in accordance with ANSI Y14.5.
  • Ability to visually and mechanically measure and inspect parts utilizing final inspection tools.
  • Ability to use 3D inspection software to analyze 3D scans.
  • Must be able to interpret drawings.
  • Reviews and approves Dimensional Inspection Reports (DIPs).
  • Reviews and supplies disposition on nonconforming hardware.
  • Supplies discrepancy sketches to as required for nonconforming hardware.
  • Maintains and archives documentation as per company procedures.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and measure parts in accordance with blueprints.
  • Maintain calibration recall system.
  • Support MRB regarding dimensional issues and provide disposition.
  • Provide support to the machine shop.
  • Maintain inspection work instructions and procedures up to date.
  • Must have correctable vision to meet the requirements of company work instructions and procedures.
  • Interface with other departments.
  • Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.





Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Polyworks or other 3D inspection software is preferred.
