Job Description

The Injection Engineer will provide technical support for thermoset and thermoplastic production and development compounds. Support includes the concurrent design, procurement, and developing materials in the ceramic core injection process. Creates specifications, establishes manufacturing control plans, and designs pieces and parts. Create and improve injection processes and interpretation of customer specifications; and development of safe cost-efficient processes.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of polymers, plastics, materials and processes commonly used in injection molding
  • Experience with injection molding machine with respect to programming, troubleshooting, functioning and design
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an injection engineering function within a manufacturing environment
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee or Refugee


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge of Business Systems
  • Experience in Program Management
  • Lean Manufacturing Methods (Kaizen, root cause analysis and six sigma trained)
  • Experience working AutoCAD
  • Blue print reading and Geometric tolerancing
  • Knowledge of handheld measurement instruments (i.e. calipers and micrometers)
  • Knowledge of PLC controls and HMI for injection control
