Job Description

The Ingot Master Planner is responsible for all customer priorities by helping set the proper equipment load and coordinating external customer shipments with the Transportation Department and vendors for the outside processing. This position will also be driving for improvements in our existing planning tools, test them, and implement any changes in that system. The Ingot/Lithium Planner will be the single point person for external customer schedules and lead-time determination. The incumbent will determine metal needs and alloying materials for casting and place orders. Reporting to the Supply Chain manager, this position will responsible for:
  • Prepare cast schedule ensuring Internal and External customer need dates.
  • Review and create Ingot jobs, deliver to Ingot finish in a timely manner.
  • Participate in planning meetings.
  • Calculate Weekly Promise performance.
  • Interact with Finance for appropriate levels of inventory.
  • Determine Metal Needs and Alloying materials for Casting and place orders.
  • Manage suppliers and coordinate receipt/ship dates of incoming alloying and prime material.
  • Coordinate with Arconic corporate to source and forecast commercial and primary metals (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Manage and determine inventory levels.
  • Assist and help manage shipping and receiving of raw material, scrap sale transactions, and assist in prime consignment management.
  • Manage customer item creation as it relates to Ingot. 
  • Responsible for ingot forecast preparation.
 Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Backup resource for planning and logistics roles within the group.
  • Participate in Safety/ABS activities.
  • Traffic/Logistics role for External ingot shipments.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing role.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of Hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
