Arconic Whitehall Operations is seeking an experienced HR Professional with a hands-on style who is looking for an exciting career within the manufacturing industry.    This role will be based on our 2500+ employees and growing Whitehall, Michigan campus and will be a succession candidate for future HR Manager opportunities within our business.   

We are looking for a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to achieve results in several key HR functions and has a passion to put that experience to work and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities.  We will look to you to partner with the Human Resource and leadership teams in translating business strategy into HR action that drives business results.  The HR Generalist responsibilities will require you to apply your broad knowledge of HR and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results in several of the following functions/HR processes:
Develop and implement tactics to execute HR strategies that achieve the overall business goals as part of the campus HR team
  • Positive employee relations - build and enhance an environment in which employees are actively and willingly engaged in helping improve the business
  • Performance management, individual development plans, coaching and counseling
  • Engage in HR compliance activities to insure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policy.
  • Effective communications skills to reach all levels of the organization, including presentations, HR posting, bulletin boards, etc.
  • Assist in handling employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Conduct employee investigations
•         Assist in execution of our Community Engagement Framework
  • Payroll Processing.
  • Disability management.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
•    This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Previous experience in Staffing and Recruiting
