Arconic is currently in search of an HR Generalist to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) Operations business unit in Lancaster, PA.

Lancaster Works specializes in aluminum sheet and cast plate. At our 1.3 million square-foot plant, we offer a variety of products--from painted sheet to blanked products. What we produce here is found in a wide assortment of end products, such as truck cabs, cookware and construction materials. We also produce brazing sheet used by auto manufacturers to make evaporator and condenser components. Another capability, for which we are well known, is the production of machined cast plate used in a number of diverse products, ranging from robotics to medical instruments.

The HR Generalist will report to the HR Manager, and be an integral member of the Human Resources team. They will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Lancaster & Texarkana people plan through location initiatives, processes, and projects in collaboration with the HR Business Partners at each location.

  • Work directly with the HR Team, employees and leaders across Lancaster and Texarkana.
  • Gather and report on various people metrics
  • Lead and participate in HR facility wide projects and initiatives
  • Actively engaged in plant activities that support the effective facilitation of processes related to his/her key accountabilities
  • The HR Generalist shall endeavor to remain generally abreast of local, state and federal laws, rules, regulations and statutes governing equal employment opportunity practices as well as Arconic corporate and local policies and practices.
  • Provide back up support to other members of the HR team to ensure consistent coverage is provided at all times.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1-year professional work experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or 24/7 operation
  • Strong communication skills
