Job Description

Arconic Cleveland Operations, a metal forging facility serving the aerospace industry, is seeking an HR Professional to join its HR team at 1600 Harvard Ave. Under the direction of the Employee Relations Manager, this position is responsible for processing all aspects of payroll for Cleveland Operations’ hourly workforce, providing relevant analytical reports regarding people movement and counsel to the business regarding these analyses, and overseeing the hourly recruitment process and procedures. This position does not directly supervise other personnel. The incumbent communicates continually with all levels of management within the Operations Department and other HR Department personnel.
 
 Accountability Objectives
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
•       Preparing and processing an accurate and timely weekly payroll for all hourly employees at Cleveland Operations. This involves inputting all payroll data into the designated payroll system. This includes researching, responding, and assisting hourly employees and supervisors with pay-related inquires and issues, while maintaining professional discretion.
 
•       Preparing all payroll related reports and metrics. This involves performing weekly internal auditing processes and procedures to identify discrepancies in timecard submissions and isolate disputable payroll errors by verifying payroll output against payroll reports and registers prior to the distribution of checks to maintain accuracy.
 
•       Creating and distributing requested and required ad hoc reports, such as attrition, termination, absences, and headcount analytics to ensure the appropriate staffing of hourly employees across Cleveland Operations businesses. Providing support and guidance to decision-makers in relation to implementing strategic staffing changings. 
 
•       Coordinating and managing the hiring process for Operations Department hourly production trainees. This includes recruiting, onboarding, interviewing, reviewing resumes, testing, and evaluating related contingencies, as well as employee orientation coordination.
 
•       Assisting in conducting and organizing training sessions for hourly and salaried staff on topics such as labor relations, the Arconic Code of Conduct, and HR department processes, policies, and procedures.
 
•       Conducting and collaborating with other HR personnel to perform investigations and assist with grievance processing.
 
•       Assisting with the implementation of special projects related to process improvements, enhancements, and new HR initiatives. 
 
•       Maintaining the data integrity of employee records by making applicable modifications as they arise in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
 
•       A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
 
•       Minimum 6 months of experience in a general HR or Administrative function role.
 
•       This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
•       2+ years of analyst or data processing experience in a manufacturing environment.
 
•       Experience working in a unionized environment.
