Job Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development of strategy, processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organisations business goals within an employee orientated; high performance culture. The Human Resources Manager is accountable for the overall HR function and is a key member of the location leadership team, working closely with business leaders to drive the development and attainment of business strategies and plans.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

HR Team

•         Develop an HR Strategy that supports business goals whilst building leadership capability and employee engagement

•         Co-ordinate and structure accountabilities within the HR function, enabling the implementation of best practice and best fit HR policies and procedures.

•         Develop the HR team

Organisational Development

•         Succession planning and top talent mentoring to provide effective leadership for executive and vital roles

•         Executive coaching of executive team and new leaders to ensure ‘fast fit’ into new roles and ability to flex approach during change

•         Workforce planning to ensure a pipeline of new talent and strategies to align workforce numbers with revenue streams

•         Change management strategy developed to support ongoing improvements

•         Manage PDC process to manage effective talent development

Employee Relations& Engagement

•         Develop and maintain effective employee relations with the recognised trade union ensuring mutual respect and understanding

•         Develop an effective employee engagement strategy that drives continuous improvement in conjunction with the Global Voices survey

•         Develop a reward and benefit plan in accordance with Arconic requirements

•         Develop and deliver training in line with Plant operational objectives and talent development requirements

 

General

•         Manage third party suppliers within SLA parameter seeking value for money and quality of service.

•         Develop the Human Performance safety model within HR policies wherever possible to reinforce the EHS safety message

•         Act as the Data Controller for the site ensuring understanding and compliance with GDPR and confidentiality policies

•         To represent the best interests of the company and brand by always acting with integrity and honesty

•         Promote Ethics and Compliance initiatives

•         Develop and manage recruitment strategy to meet business objectives and work force planning requirements

 

Communications

•         Develop a communication strategy for internal and external stakeholders

•         Act as an ambassador for Arconic in the community



Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduateand/or MCIPD

EXPERIENCE

Atleast 8 years’ relevant experience within a HR function;

Workingknowledge of UK employment law;

Experienceof working in a manufacturing/engineering environment, within a unionised environment.
