Job Description

Arconic Engines has an opening for a Heat Treat Operator to load and unload furnaces and maintain the heat treating process and uniformity of our products.  This position is based out of our Rochester, NY facility.

  • Requires specific knowledge of general heat treat requirements for titanium, nickel-based alloys, and stainless steels
  • Use proper heat treat scheduling to ensure proper sequence for product through heat treating cycles
  • Load and unload furnaces
  • Responsible for heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveys
  • Must be familiar with the operation, adjustment and routine maintenance of all furnace controllers
  • Work with the computer to analyze the furnace charting program data being generated by each furnace
  • Enter and track data MS Excel spreadsheets, able to read and interpret production paperwork to understand each job's printed work instructions
  • Complete all required paperwork including, but not limited to, furnace maps, furnace charts, work orders and travelers, maintaining all required traceability standards
  • Conduct Brinell Hardness Testing when needed
  • Operate Forklift in manufacturing facility to OSHA standards within the last 3 years
  • Perform general duty labor as required


Qualifications

  • Ability to repetitively lift parts up to 30 lbs on and off pallets
  • Ability to work in an extremely hot environment
  • Must be shift flexible and able to work overtime
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
