Global Rolled Products (GRP), is a dynamic global organization that offers the widest variety of aluminum plate and sheet in the world. GRP is made up of Arconic's rolling operations around the world with manufacturing and commercial sites in North America, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Asia, Australia and Russia. GRP is an approximately $8 billion global business. 

Under the direction of the GRP Global S&OP Director, the GRP Capacity Specialist is accountable for the deployment and monitoring of S&OP standards across all GRP global locations. This role requires implementation of new management and analytical standards across multiple disciplines and global locations. Following initial implementation of the standard, the role will become responsible for driving a compliance and continuous improvement mindset across multiple areas of S&OP (Capacity, Metal, Supply, Transportation).
Key responsibilities:
  • Implementation of Capacity Review and modeling standards across all locations;
  • Training and facilitation for S&OP processes;
  • Monitoring and coaching of standard monthly business cycle processes;
  • Facilitation/technical support of capacity improvement plans, including step change leadership;
  • Understanding of significant plant outages and capacity/inventory effects;
  • Problem-solving support;
  • Capture of inventory best practices, with sharing and standardization across system;
  • Implementation and auditing support for the S&OP Metal Manager, Supply Manager, and Transportation Manager roles.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of Global GRP systems;
  • Solid understanding and practical application of systems analysis and technical skills;
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of waterfall charts and methodology;
  • Possess FRP technical knowledge – processes and products;
  • Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills with attention to detail;
  • Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously across 10+ global locations;
  • Ability to work independently and coach, train and energize diverse resources to develop and lead a high-performing team;
  • Ability to effectively communicate in multi-cultural environments across all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time, with occasional international travel requirements.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or Business from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/plant environment;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution;
  • Six Sigma training;
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational or business experience in a manufacturing/plant environment;
  • Step change or large project management experience;
  • Primary location allows for support of multiple plants.
