Job Description

Arconic Fastening Systems is seeking a Grinder Operator III. Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate and troubleshoot Cincinnati and Cinco15 (automatic and hand feed) centerless grinders to modify tooling
  • Prepares machine parts and tooling as required
  • Experience with grinding small and large diameter parts
  • Remove, replace and/or adjust machine parts for proper positioning of fasteners
  • Inspect aerospace fasteners to verify correct machine set-up and operation by using measuring devices
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds and standing for up to eight hours
     
Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, comparators and gauges
  • Ability to grind both steel and titanium
  • Good math and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player committed to working on Saturdays
     


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
