Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within the Engineering department for a ProcessEngineer, reporting to the Production Engineering TeamLeader. This role will provide a challenging opportunity to gain a breadth ofknowledge about the many processes that make up the operations of Engineeringat Arconic Engines Exeter.  


  • To technically support production of highquality castings to customers’ requirements

  • To reduce process related scrap & rework

  • To implement and maintain best practicethrough all process engineering activities

  • Achieve cost effected production of components/ Processes and qualifications

  • Program manage and execute engineeringproject assignments


  • Technicallyresponsible for the metallurgical process of customer components through theExeter facility

  • To respond to daily production issues and resolvewithin company standards, customer requirements and related specifications.

  • Co-ordinate activities concerned with technicaldevelopments, scheduling and resolving engineering metallurgical issues.

  • Continuous improvementand maintaining metallurgical processes 

  • Interaction withcustomers to understand technical requirements and resolve issues 

  • Programme managementof individual parts 

  • Troubleshootmanufacturing problems and root cause analysis 

  • Cost reduction throughprocess improvements

  • Review & approve customer specifications in regardto metallurgical requirements.

  • Produce customerqualification reports



  • Materials Degree or equivalent.
  • Good statistical understanding (SPC/Process Capability/Gauge R R).
  • High level of computer literacy (Word/Excel/Project)
  • Ability to prepare and write reports.
  • Good judgment and decision making
  • Communication and Team working skills

  • Meticulous with good attention todetail

  • Excellent organisational andplanning skills
