Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Global Supply Chain Supervisor to help direct and assist the team to manage a large, high-profile, strategic OEM customers and support Min-Max and similar inventory management / supply chain programs. This position is located at the AFS aerospace distribution facility in Simi Valley, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages GSC Logistic Team, such as employees’ development and growth, work-load distribution/ prioritization, scheduling and work coverage, problems solving, and procedures compliances.
  • Reviews, manages customer contracts, contractual commitments,  specifications, blanket orders, demands/ requirements, terms and conditions.
  • Corroborates with customers and ensures customers issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. 
  • Manages customer demand and inventory levels.  Decides on critical product allocation, and if needed, performs data entry and releases customer orders.
  • Negotiates deliveries with internal suppliers and external customers as necessary to improve performance.
  • Analyzes/ understands customer demand/requirements, WIP and manufacturing capacity and other data to assist in planning, developing, and improving logistics program activities.
  • Drives key performance matrices.
  • Addresses RMAs and CERs issues, reviews customer satisfaction report, and closes any correction actions as required.
  • Coordinates improvements for inbound and outbound product flows, inventory movement, inventory levels, product consolidation and shipment (multiple facilities, between facilities, to customer as appropriate/necessary).
  • Involves team in process/ methodology/ work practices improvement and completion of the projects. 
  • Interfaces/ corroborates/ negotiates with other functions in Simi Valley, as well as with team from other facilities.
  • Utilizes best practices regarding safety and regulatory import/export compliance.
  • Meets with customer on or off site as necessary.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relatable experience;
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relatable experience in logistics, customer service, sales or distribution;
  • Sound understanding of demand fulfillment, logistics and/or inventory management programs;
  • General knowledge of manufacturing and distribution functions;
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as QAD/COP, Oracle, etc.
