Position Description:
The successful candidate will directly support the Business Unit President by managing the development process and execution of business unit initiatives and special projects.
Primary Responsibilities include:
  • This role will serve as the primary Single Point of Accountability (SPA) to develop, analyze and make recommendations on business unit initiatives to Corporate Executives.
  • Lead evaluation/re-evaluation of new and prospective business initiatives and recommend actions.
  • Partner with AEN Operations and Finance leaders to design standard methods and measures to monitor business unit initiatives in response to current business needs, such as inventory reduction, labor productivity, capacity assessment, and internal work transfers. 
  • Support BUP to effectively manage these “Must Win Battles” and critical business initiatives through ongoing evaluation and status updates.
  • Lead coordination of preparations for customer executive management sessions and visits with Commercial, Operations and Planning teams.
  • Supports various BU leads in developing specific business plans and supports BU annual planning process. Develop AEN monthly, quarterly reports as required by BU President and leadership team. 
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support initiatives to analyze and benchmark competition and market related data, anticipate trends and proactively develop plans for AEN.
  • Develop, analyze and make recommendations on casting and rings business cases for BU actions to support plan achievement, such as insourcing/sourcing decisions.
  • Supports BUP by coordinating, preparing and leading strategy or planning sessions to address dynamic business needs and developments.
  • Provide leadership to internal projects that are cross-organizational and strategic in nature.
  • Lead ad hoc analysis and reporting to support Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Operations.




Basic Qualifications:
•            Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
•            Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business planning
  • 5 years of experience with large-scale project management, strategic planning and/or consulting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute logical analysis to make data driven decisions.
  • Experience coordinating and leading strategy sessions.
  • Experience and understanding of financial data
  • Expert Excel, Power point and presentation development skills.
  • Highly developed verbal, written and presentation skills and ability to tailor messaging for various audiences and stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with a self-directed, results oriented aptitude.
  • Understanding of new products/technologies/industries desirable (additive manufacturing, composite materials).
  • Strong leadership and team building skills including mentoring and managing diverse and virtual teams.
