Job Description

  • Set up and operate hand-feed AIDA presses.
  • Obtain and prepare materials, machine parts, and tooling required for specific assignments.
  • Obtain proper tooling, dies and specifications from tool prep department by determining what tooling is required by reading specifications, measuring diameter of metal stock, and referring to records of previous similar assignments.
  • Verify that proper tooling and dies have been provided by comparing dimensions of tooling to specifications and to dimensions of material.
  • Notification of discrepancies and any needs for additional machining or tooling is given to proper person.
  • Set up machines by loading material onto wire stand and feeds into machine.
  • Start machine produce sample products. Inspects samples for dimensional accuracy and obvious material damage.
  • Start machine, observe frequently to verify proper operation and to see if reloading of material is required.
  • Inspect product as needed, visually and with gauges to verify proper condition and operation of machine and tooling.
  • Hot heading experience.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
  • Be able to stand 8 hours.
  • 3 years of experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprint and use measuring instruments.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
