Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of a Financial Analyst to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) Operations business unit in Davenport, IA.

Nestled on the banks of the Mississippi River in Iowa, the plant employs 2,300 people and is a focal point of the global aluminum industry, with 25 percent of revenues coming from exports. Through continued modernization, including a $300 million investment over the past decade alone, Davenport has maintained its position as the world’s premier aerospace supply plant and is today the hub of Arconic’s $3 billion aerospace business.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing financial analysis of Davenport Work’s administrative and manufacturing costs to all levels of plant management, marketing and sales departments, operating departments, and staff departments
  • Providing financial analysis on product costing and customer profitability to plant management and marketing and sales departments
  • Applying analytical skills to interpret financial results and determine issues critical to Davenport Work’s and the Business Unit’s success
  • Working with and provide financial support to manufacturing and support departments
  • Supporting and participating in monthly closing activities, account reconciliations, inventory accounting transactions, inter-company accounting, fixed assets accounting
  • Supporting and participating in physical inventories, self-assessed audits and compliance testing, annual audits
  • Developing and analyzing burden budgets and standard costs
  • Providing monthly financial forecasts and participate in the annual planning processes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree MBA, CPA/CMA
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Finance or Accounting role
  • Finance or Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Aspiration to grow into more senior level roles within the business
  • Experience with standard costing systems and budgets
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Enterprise Business Systems such as Oracle or SAP
  • Experience in data base query tools such as Microsoft Access, Oracle Discoverer, Hyperion, Essbase, Smartview and related programs
