Job Description:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating and providing a broad range of financial and operational analysis activities for the AWTP Business Unit. This position will report to the AWTP Manager of Financial and Marketing Analysis and be based in Cleveland, OH.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will analyze financial data, identify and report progress toward plan commitments, financial performance achievements and trends, and identify opportunities to influence financial performance.
Major Activities and Key Challenges Include:
  • Develop and maintain standard AWTP financial reporting and in-depth analysis of financial results
  • Support the BU financial forecasts preparation and development process utilizing Hyperion
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating and strategic plans
  • Analyze financial data, identify and report progress toward plan commitments, financial performance achievements and trends, and identify opportunities to influence financial performance.
  • Contribute to the content and consolidate the BU monthly and quarterly reporting packages for senior leadership. This will include operational metrics, financial schedules, bridges, performance tables and ad hoc analysis.
  • Analyze and monitor spend performance for BU departments
  • Assist and support Manager of Financial and Marketing Analysis in assuring accuracy of the BU's revenue modeling tools and processes
  • Complete Arconic’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. Assist in ensuring appropriate internal controls are in place and corporate policy is followed.
  • Support month-end close with local adjusting and re-class journal entries; provide the month-end explanation of variance to forecast and budget
  • Provide planning and analytical support to the AWTP Lead Team and project teams


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years financial analysis experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Financial analysis within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, with a self-motivated, team-oriented perspective
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to learn quickly, work on multiple concurrent assignments and complete assignments in a timely and organized approach
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting
  • Possess or currently working towards obtaining CPA and/or MBA
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and auditing principles and practices
  • Experience with data querying tools, Oracle, and Hyperion
