How your typical day would go:

  • Annual budgeting process e.g. preparing annual operating plan, timeline and instructions; collecting cost drivers and allocation methods; reviewing cost data to prior and current year; make sure account code structure is correct; conduct data verification; coordinate with FA&P regarding submission in Hyperion and FAST.
  • Monthly reporting e.g. transparency of costs, tracking actual vs. plan, analyze variances, accruals, correct accounting and follow up to resolve discrepancies; ensure consistency in use of departments and account codes, identify cost savings, support to achieve cost objectives, coordinate variance analysis.
  • Forecasting e.g. quarterly forecasts according to Corporate deadlines for RU functions, provide bridges and analysis as requested.
  • Chargebackprocess e.g. review cost drivers for accuracy, document methodologies andallocation schemes, communicate to businesses, work with Tax Director to meettax and legal requirements, work with clearing house on charge out and billing,work with function owners to adjust/modify charge back models and processes asneeded. 

  • Support RU Management in following up the Capital expenditure processes and Reviewing RFAs, update and communicate changes in procedures, follow up on revisions and post project reviews.
  • Preparing ad-hoc analysis on a need bases.
  • Participate and/or lead projects for deploying new tools or procedures. Coordinate the work of deployment team. Liaise among RU Management, RU Controllership organization and Deployment team.  
  • Work with European Controllers and function owners to implement, maintain, adjust chart of account standards for all RU functions.
  • Other activities will involve analyses like buy/lease comparisons, project accounting and project reviews for RU projects, benchmarking (Hackett) and metrics, maintaining statistical information (headcount, others).
  • Head count monitoring, recording and reporting according to RU requirements.

We will like you if you have:
  • This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent.
  • The incumbent should have a good understanding of principles of Finance and Cost Accounting. 
  • At a minimum 5-8 years working experience in an international company is a requirement.
  • Fluent English in word and writing is a must.
  • The position requires good communication skills.
  • The incumbent can operate in a diverse environment and can resolve differences in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to manage and lead a small group of people
  • The incumbent needs knowledge and understanding of business processes.
  • Analytical skills are critical.
  • Broad experience in working with a financial software application (ideally Oracle / Hyperion) and a good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and query tools are required.
  • The incumbent is used to work in a complex technical environment.
  • The incumbent should be capable to coordinate the work of smaller group working on finance / reporting related systems deployment.
