Arconic is seeking a Finance Director & Metal Controller for our Global Rolled Products group. This position supports the Group CFO, and partners with Operations teams on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and all other collateral financial requirements necessary to operate the global business. This is a highly visible position in the succession pipeline for top finance leadership positions, including VP of Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis. This position will report directly to the Group CFO, and will be located in Cranberry or Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate across functions, and help drive business initiatives with accurate financial planning, analysis and reporting. Profile: The GRP Finance Director & Metal Controller's primary objective is to implement financial practices that drive business profitability. The incumbent will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the metal factors impacting financial performance and have final responsibility for providing effective financial forecasting for the organization, partnering with Procurement, Commercial, Supply Chain and location teams on managing key financial and operational KPIs related to metal management, including but not limited to margin analysis, inventory management, and providing clear connection from operational KPIs to financial metrics. The position will participate in valuation of acquisition, merger/joint venture, divestitures opportunities as requested, corporate activities and initiatives and special projects as required.


Essential Functions: The GRP Finance Director & Metal Controller position includes both creation of strategic vision, and tactical management including execution, examples include but are not limited to: 
  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting, financial and non-financial information in order to appraise operating results in terms of metal profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Completion of monthly forecasts, profit and COGS analysis, cost management, inventory   control, capital investment, working capital, and all reporting related requirements.
  • Develop appropriate accounting, analysis and reporting formats, procedures/policies and schedules to support the reporting and analysis process for metal related items.
  • Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required. Investigate significant trends/variances in financial data.
  • Provide daily and/or weekly analysis and reporting on operational performance as it relates to the business activities including monitoring margins, variances, and giving. feedback as well as highlighting opportunities for improvements to upper management.
  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to deep dive on metal pricing, customer and supplier contracts and opportunities to further improve business efficiency and reduce overall risk.
  • Prepare and present narratives, graphs, and other reports as required to support business reviews, management and customer presentations.
  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies/procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley and all other applicable laws.
  • Support and facilitate the introduction, analysis and execution of cost saving opportunities
  • Serve as key liaison to coordinate metal financial business processes across the company
  • Leadership: Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross foundation teamwork and customer service. Ensure optimal deployment of resources to achieve project and business goals.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the finance function of a publicly-traded corporation in increasingly responsible leadership roles.
  • International experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as a U.S> citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master of Business Administration preferred.
  • CPA accreditation preferred.
  • Background in Industrial Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Additional language skills are highly desirable.
