Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of a FBP Internal Audit and Global SOX Coordinator, to join our Corporate Finance Business Unit.

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Internal Audit Department's professional and objective evaluation of internal control systems and to make related recommendations for improvement to the company's operating locations and corporate functions. This role is also responsible for coordinating the company’s SOX compliance program and related work with the external auditors. This role reports to the Manager, Global SOX and NA/SA FBP Internal Audit.

Major Activities/Key Challenges:
  • Manages meetings with the SOX Steering Committee
  • Maintains portal SOX documentation
  • Coordinates SOX audit requirements and streamlining initiatives with external auditors
  • Coordinates onboarding/training of all new hires for the N.A. FBP Internal Audit team
  • Manages the special auditor program for N.A.
  • Leads or participates actively on at least one cross-functional team (People, Risk, Data Analytics or Process Team)
  • Leads and manages complex audits and effectively discusses key audit issues with management
  • Performs physical inventory observations
  • Travels to company locations, many of which are manufacturing facilities (approximately 50% travel)
  • Monitors compliance with department requirements
  • Develops ideas for process improvements and contributes to department, business unit and company performance
  • Prepares audit reports for management

  • Broad working knowledge of Arconic businesses, operating locations and productions processes is desired
  • Arconic audit reporting and system (ASAT and ASP) knowledge

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics, from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience within an auditing or accounting role.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or eligible for a CPA and/or MBA.
  • Prior financial audit experience.
  • Experience within Big Four Public Accounting, Manufacturing or Related Industries.
  • Strong Microsoft office products expertise.
