Job Description

Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for a Facilities Engineer I to improve production facilities, maximize the use of available space, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.  This position is located at our aerospace plant in City of Industry, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the plant layout and facility diagrams. 
  • Estimate costs related to layout design, including equipment and materials, labor, etc., and monitor construction process. 
  • Write maintenance strategies to with installation and commissioning guidelines.
  • Lead role in the introduction of condition-based maintenance (CBM), reliability centered maintenance (RCM), planned preventative maintenance (PPM), total productive maintenance (TPM), and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize computerized system to oversee routine maintenance and organize repairs.
  • Liaison with all departments and other engineering and production colleagues to improve communication. 
  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment. 
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs.  
  • Improve health and safety policies and procedures as they relate to Maintenance activities.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
 
Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create, read and interpret facility and machine diagrams, blueprints, schematics, PIDs, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited Institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Prefer that the B.S. Degree in Engineering is in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, from an accredited institution
  • 6 months or more of work experience in an industrial setting (internships will be considered)
  • Hands on mechanical experience
  • Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Experience with Microsoft Office & Project
  • Facilities, maintenance, mechanical or manufacturing engineering experience is a plus
