Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing all aspects of creating & scheduling shipments to customers including customer logistics systems. Interfaces with management, sales department and the shipping team to ensure appropriate handling and shipping of goods. Interaction daily with production staff and quality staff to provide coordination of shipping efforts. Frequently provides status of shipment expectation and schedule as well as fielding requests for special handling and expedites. Maintains positive attitude and cooperative approach to achieve business goals and objectives in a challenging and fast paced manufacturing environment.
Fundamental Duties:
•         Leads and follows all safety and quality procedures
•         Create shipments for parts to ship to various customers according to due dates and VMI lists
•         Diligent and organized approach to document creation and management of shipping actions including posting and logging for tracking purposes
•         Data entry and shipment scheduling through customers logistics
•         Track and order all shipping supplies
•         Schedule daily team meeting
•         Create and update SWP’s
•         Electronically send ASN #’s to Boeing
•         Collect weights and dimensions for packages to ship
•         Schedule various shipments through Fed Ex, UPS, Freight shipments, Central Dispatch and Customer Logistics Systems / Customer Portals
•         Close out and process work orders and delivery confirmation packets for scanning into our system and email appropriate recipient
•         Reads various work orders and operational records and enters such data as customer specifications.
•         Reports issues encountered that threaten schedules and offer solutions to resolve when needed.
•         Clear communications and coordination with various departments and associated staff. 
•         Transports documents when need to required areas throughout facility.
•         Troubleshoot any issues preventing shipments
•         Investigate any shipping errors, grief notifications, etc.
•         Correct all deliveries with wrong specs, revisions, texts and part names
•         Assist the production shipping team as needed
•         Track and locate parts through SAP and physically locating parts on the shop floor
•         Update part status spreadsheets for customers
•         Create packing lists for local customers and vendors
•         Schedule and label tooling and OSC being shipped
•         Schedule any maintenance and Lab shipments
•         Maintain and scanning of “End of the Month” reports
•         Assist and execute 5S projects
•         Assist accounting and production planning with projects
•         Oversee proper shipping processes are being followed
•         Maintain package pick ups
•         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•         High school diploma or GED
•         Must be 18 years of age or older
•         Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
•         This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
 
Skill & Competency Requirements:
•         Comprehension of various documents including Pack lists (Delivery Confirmations), BOL, work orders and sales orders.
•         Highly motivated and a self-starter
•         Capable of working in a fast paced environment
•         Ability to multi-task
•         Ability to work with teams and lead others
•         Must work a full-time schedule and overtime as required
•         SAP and Excel experience is preferred.
•         Must have basic computers skills
•         Must have problem solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work with others
