Arconic is looking for an Extrusion Supervisor to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) business unit in Lafayette, IN.

Job Description:
This position is responsible for meeting or exceeding area objectives and goals including safety, on time delivery and people initiatives. Under the direction of the Extrusion Unit 2 Plant Manager this position is accountable for:
  • Implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Obtaining resources for area
  • Improving area with crew involvement
  • Meeting or exceeding area goals and objectives including safety, on time delivery and people initiatives
  • Managing labor relations and conflict issues
  • Communicating performance to internal and external customers
  • Scheduling
  • Tracking activities and costs in database
  • SAFETY: The incumbent recognizes that accident prevention is equal in importance to production, quality, delivery, and cost control and accepts the responsibility to work safely and promote safety consciousness among co-workers.


Basic Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one year of industrial manufacturing experience 
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience, preferably supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key success factors.
