Job Description

This opening is in our Kawneer business located in Springdale, AR. We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic's global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufacturers and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

The estimating scheduler position is integral and vital to the Order Pursuit function in Springdale for the West and South Sales Regions. The scheduler will evaluate all quotes to determine which estimator receives them to be processed in a timely manner.


Primary Purpose of the Job
  • Understand Customer Pricing requests; plans and specifications, material lists, simple take- offs requiring application revisions
  • Selecting the proper documents/ materials for lead review
  • Creation of Electronic folders/ printouts for lead review
  • Maintain schedule and database through level loading
  • Assist lead in bid/ no-bid selectivity
  • Confirm with customer and/ or sales regarding scheduling of requests
  • Coordinate with Engineering department for schedule of engineering review
  • Coordination with other Kawneer facilities for package pricing for multiple products
  • Create estimates with KaluCAD

Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education
  • HS Diploma/two years industry experience preferred
  • Construction/architectural industry background knowledge
  • Proficient use of computer
  • Organizational, time management

  • Conflict resolution
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Excellent customer service and work well under deadline
  • Knowledge of architectural systems products

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • 1 year of experience in estimating/scheduling/or project management related duties
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in the construction industry (can be residential or commercial)
  • 2 or 4 year degree in Construction Management from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability to read plans, specifications, and architectural drawings
