The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator plays a key leadership role in reducing risk of incident and injury and will drive implementation of Human Performance systems. The EHS Coordinator will work closely with location manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and support staff personnel to develop and deploy a wide-range of comprehensive EHS systems that support Arconic’s commitment of zero non-compliances and zero injuries.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Lead the environmental, health, and safety training coordination and implementation for hourly and salaried employees;
  • Perform internal self-assessment activities (ASATs);
  • Monitor, track, and report key EHS metrics, and ensures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate regulatory programs;
  • Assist with incident investigations to ensure completeness and accuracy, develops and tracks corrective actions;
  • Participate in hands-on in leading ABS activities through A3s, TPM, Kaizen, or problem-solving methodology;
  • Work with data and analysis tools to identify potential safety and environmental issues;
  • Assess training effectiveness and employee competence;
  • This role will work primarily daytime shifts, Monday-Friday but is expected to work off-shifts as needed to support the functions of this role, and are on call as a first line help chain 24 hrs per day, seven days per week.
Major Activities and Key Challenges Include:
  • Possess a demonstrated proficiency in program development, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum 3 years of environmental, health, and safety experience;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, EHS or Safety Management from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum 5 years of environmental, health, and safety experience;
  • Possess one or more professional safety and/or health certifications (CSP, CIH, ASP);
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment;
  • Previous experience in a union work environment.
