Job Description

  • Locate, identify and move aluminum and materials to staging areas using overhead cranes or fork trucks
  • Place aluminum on machines for processing
  • Transport aluminum scrap
  • Move production supplies to machine areas
  • Band and pack finished aluminum coils rods and bars for customer shipments
  • Audit condition of finished product prior to transporting to next operation.  Report any non-conformances to Shift Supervisor
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P), safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Perform other related duties as directed by department supervision
  • Work in a team environment
  • Wear provided personal protective equipment (hard hat, earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, reflective vest, arm guards, metatarsal safety shoes)
  • Lifting - Medium - Lift on an occasional basis a maximum of 50 pounds with frequent or constant lifting of 25 pounds
  • Must be able to adapt to temperature and environment extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, chemicals and elevated noise levels
  • Standing - Medium - Stand frequently for up to 6 hours.


Qualifications

  • High school or GED
  • Basic math and reading skills as validated by skills test
  • Must be willing and able to work accept varying shifts and schedules.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
