Arconic is currently in search of an Enterprise Business System Architecture Manager to join our Global Information Services (GIS) Resource Unit in Pittsburgh, PA.
This position is responsible for the overall EBS global architecture planning, design and capacity planning for EBS systems, Integration Systems, Hyperion/HFM financial systems.  This requires working in conjunction with the regional IT technical and operations organizations to define the architecture and partner with the EBS deployment organization to create the capacity plan and to review third party product bolt-ons for fit within the architecture. 
  • Lead the support , development, deployment and implementation of EBS systems, technologies and information solutions, future strategy and  to understand and direct others in supporting and enhancing existing systems and technologies; and to set direction for Arconic standards, procedures and technologies. 
  • Serving as a GIS representative, knowledgeable in and supporting all GIS information solution requirements for one or more Business Units, Resource Units, locations, or regions. 
  • Act as an internal consultant to Arconic businesses and various customer groups.
  • Monitoring service delivery, looking for opportunities to continually improve operations leveraging automation, monitoring tools and process improvement - including best-practice assessment and adoption. 
  • Provide planning and execution support for the transition of project to operational and production support, and monitoring services from the regional Data Centers into a Global off-shore delivery organization. The support will include designing and executing the operational processes to achieve global commonality.
Major Activities:
  • Collaborate with Business Unit and Resource Unit leaders on a world-wide basis to develop, procure, implement, and support computer systems and/or information solutions that add the most value to the company.  This is to be accomplished by utilizing technically sound methods of investigation, analysis, design, planning, scheduling, and management.
  • Establish, foster, and maintain a high level of effective customer interaction and involvement in order to identify and recommend computer and business solutions to effectively and efficiently satisfy the data processing and information requirements of the business.
  • Provide advice and counsel to the customers of the systems or technologies in assigned area(s) of responsibility, and to other GIS personnel.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the technologies in assigned area(s) of responsibility.  Participate in and perform the analysis of the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Collaborate with Business Unit and Resource Unit leaders to build necessary business cases that quantify both the value and the cost of information solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit and Resource Unit leaders to select and deliver the highest priority information solutions within the cost constraints of their respective organizations.
  • Operate within GIS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic BU/RU IT standards.
  • Identify and establish value-added cross-functional data and system linkages.
  • Ensure appropriate methodologies are followed, support processes and procedures are in place, and key system/quality indicators are measured, where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all guidelines detailed in the IT ASAT  change control, disaster recovery, and security for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Conduct coaching, counseling, and annual performance reviews for Arconic in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Ensure consistency and leverage commonality among other GIS areas.
  • Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in the job requirements, changes in technology, changes in the organization, and changes in the company (i.e., Business Units and Resource Units).
  • In addition to individual priorities, manage multiple system services Sponsor and lead the discovery, planning, and implementation of process improvements in individual tasks, in the work team, and in the department.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited initiation  
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT infrastructure
  • Experience leading a team and managing 3rd party vendors.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business, Math from an accredited institution
  • Oracle ERP Systems architecture/design/upgrade
  • Solid understanding of system life cycle.
  • Strong human relation skills and be able to interact with internal and external customers, vendors, other IS professionals and IS management.
  • Large project management experience and demonstrated understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Experience directing large diverse teams and managing large projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL.
  • Strong knowledge/experience in Technical architecture and related activities.
