Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. 
 
We have an immediate need for an Engineering Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for supporting AAPE operations in meeting the necessary reliability, safety, cost and production related goals.  The Engineering and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for driving maintenance systems and implementing preventative & predictive maintenance activities, as well as leading the planning/maintaining reliability of production equipment and capital spending projects.  This individual must effectively collaborate, and influence peers and other internal stakeholders as needed to meet business objectives.
 
Essential Duties:
  • Develops and implements a long range strategic improvement for maintenance processes, capital spending and reliability plans.
  • Implements and improves proactive activities including Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and TPM.
  • Ensures that breakdowns or disruptions in the production processes are minimized.
  • Implements programs to ensure regular inspection and maintenance of all the machinery in the facility.
  • Leads the Maintenance and Engineering department through driving efficiencies and departmental objectives.
  • Plans maintenance and service activities in a way to maximize customer relationship with other departments.
  • Manages department spending and performance, initiates programs and procedures to reduce spending and enhance performance.
  • Managers the capital spending planning and execution of projects for EHS, Sustaining, Productivity and Growth.
  • Provide project management support for major systems and equipment installations.
  • Communicates policies and ensures facility employees create a safe, productive and pleasant working environment.
  • Diagnoses and assists in solving difficult engineering and maintenance problems and recurring malfunctions.
  • Determines skill gaps within the department and defines training to bridge the gaps.
  • Maintains personal safety equipment and ensures all applicable safety regulations are strictly followed.
  • Participates in objective setting, plan development and performance review of plant performance.
  • Prepares reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance related problems.
  • Supervise Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance personnel.
  • Work jointly with Product Engineering on concurrent product and process designs.
  • Maintain awareness of new technology and evaluate its value to AAP Eastman.
  • Lead the implementation of equipment FMEA’s as needed.
 
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Must possess strong leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate, mentor and train staff.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols
  • Knowledge of project management skills
  • Experience with a CMMS System & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with implementation of LEAN Manufacturing tools and techniques

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing.
  • 2+ years management experience
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Working knowledge of process and equipment.
  • Aluminum/Architectural related experience
