Primary Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for driving employee engagement, staffing (job postings, interviewing, selection), salary planning, organizational development and coaching, investigations, and supporting the daily needs of all Niles Operations Departments. Direct reports include (1) HR Generalist. The incumbent communicates continually with department and area managers as a partner in achieving their employee engagement, strategic, and tactical goals.
Accountability Objectives
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•         Generating positive employee relations, specifically focused on salaried personnel by building and enhancing an environment in which employees are actively and willingly engaged in helping improve the business. This also includes leading annual employee engagement survey administration and action planning.
•         Recruiting and retaining salary employees through campus recruiting teams, leveraging preferred recruiters for experienced hires, on-boarding, unit supervisor training, evaluation and feedback processes, and monitoring contract and temporary associates.
•         Guiding talent management processes, which involves performance management, compensation analysis, and employee training and development.
•         Developing, implementing, and monitoring all Affirmative Action Plans for Niles Operations and administering all reporting and activities related to EEO, which includes audit compliance, recruiter compliance, and monthly and annual diversity data analysis.
•         Providing coaching and expert HR advice to business leaders and employees as appropriate.
•         Developing and enhancing the appropriate HR practices and policies to support the business and meet Arconic’s compliance requirements.
•         Investigating employee concerns raised locally or through the Corporate Integrity Compliance Line to ensure prompt resolution and process improvement where necessary.
•         Functioning as the HR SPA for all internal and external audits. This includes conducting monthly self-assessments and preparing for audit activity.
•         Designing, generating, and distributing routine and special request reports, including scorecards and metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis, as needed.
•         Performing other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications
For this position to be successful, the incumbent should have:
•         A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor/Employee Relations, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field from an accredited institution.
•         Minimum 4 years of Human Resources Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
•         This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
For this position to be successful, preference is given to candidates with:
•         A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources from an accredited institution.
•         PHR and/or SHRM-CP certifications.
•         Experience working in a ununionized environment.
•         Demonstrated ability to forge strong, trusting collaborative relations.
•         The ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) and delegate while maintaining forward motion on key deliverables.
•         A high degree of interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others, including those not under their direct supervision.
•         Demonstrated ability of problem solving, systems thinking, project management, and team building.
•         Sound coaching and investigation skills.
•         Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
