Job Description

Arconic’s Tennessee Operations is seeking an experienced and talented Electrical Coordinator to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) business unit in Alcoa, TN.
The Electrical Coordinator will have electrical supervision and planning responsibilities for the South Ingot and Remelt departments of Tennessee Operations.  The successful candidate will lead and supervise electrical employees as well as plan daily electrical maintenance work, coordinate repairs, order parts, plan outages, execute planned and unplanned work, provide technical troubleshooting skills to identify maintenance issues and develop solutions. They will also provide technical leadership and training to electrical employees. 
  • Supervising electrical employees within the department, acting as a resource and providing guidance to craft employees and other manufacturing personnel
  • Providing technical maintenance support for assigned area
  • Executing planned and unplanned work, including outage plans, to meet department goals.
  • Coordinate repairs with customers to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
  • Following-up on equipment issues, and developing technical problem-solving solutions
  • Providing on-call response to remedy critical maintenance situations
  • Plan daily maintenance work.  Develop maintenance planning and schedule.
  • Order and arrange parts, materials and tools for the job.
  • Maintain spare parts and materials.
  • Build team commitment for ownership of the maintenance process.
  • Write work tickets and build work packages and kits. Responsible for closing work orders and PM’s when completed.
  • Follow up on outstanding equipment issues logged in the shift reports.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods, working hand in hand with craft employees
  • Adhering to Arconic EH&S, quality, continuous improvement and other company policies
  • Ensure that all safety, health and environmental aspects are considered prior to scheduling work and completing work and work with EHS team to complete documentation of safe work plans and contractor / supplemental labor approval.
  • Assuming other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required
  • This position may require shift and weekend support


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical systems and controls utilized in industrial applications.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate or degree from a post-secondary industrial maintenance or industrial electricity program
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with electrical systems and controls utilized in industrial applications.
  • 2 years of experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in installing, programming and troubleshooting AC drives, DC drives and AB Logix5000 series Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
