Job Description

Arconic has an immediate need for an EHS Engineer in our Whitehall, MI facility.
The EHS Engineer will assess and monitor site compliance with all applicable local, State, and Federal environmental regulations. Works with plant personnel to ensure compliance. Develops and conducts/facilitates required environmental training. Develops, implements and maintains required programs, policies and procedures. Prepares applicable regulatory deliverable reports. Conducts site audits to maintain site compliance. Monitors waste streams & waste products to ascertain ways to minimize or eliminate waste. Must interface with all levels of the organization & external agencies, vendors and contacts



Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of EHS experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution in the following disciplines preferred:  EHS, Science, Engineering.
  • Experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • 3+ years of applicable experience.
  • Certificates in CSP, CHMM, and/or PE a plus
  • Knowledge of applicable EHS regulations/legislative processes
  • Good computer skills, demonstrates initiative, good interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of the organization, good oral and written communications skills, ability to work in a team environment
