The Director of Global Enterprise Applications is part of Arconic’s Global Information Services (GIS) organization.  The position reports directly to the Arconic corporate CIO.  The primary role of this function is to partner with business and resource unit leaders to identify value added application objectives, lead and manage the associated applications team, and execute plans to capture the identified value.  The Director is responsible for large scale global applications that include the company’s global people system, the Oracle ERP environment, Salesforce, multiple financial systems, Microsoft applications, and the corporate internet site.
  • Assist the CIO and lead team with corporate and region-specific strategy.
  • Maintain the Applications organization to support the strategy and ensure results are delivered.
  • Coordinate budgeting and ensure plans are successfully met.
Major Activities:
  • Own and direct strategy, planning and budget management for the department and all global applications.  There is an 18-month goal related to creating and driving the Oracle/ERP application upgrade strategy.
  • Collaborate with business process owners and key decision makers across sales, manufacturing, engineering, finance and other functions to deliver world class information technology services.
  • Provide leadership and maintain the team’s application expertise to enable growth and scalability requirements across the enterprise.
  • Develop and grow the strength of the applications team.  Create development opportunities for team members. Create a pipeline of talent for succession planning.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with internal and external providers.
  • Ensure the necessary controls are in place to comply with internal Arconic and external regulatory agency requirements, e.g. Disaster Recovery, ASAT, SOX.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure optimal service and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve project planning and migration methodologies that ensure system uptime and performance.
  • Publish metrics that demonstrate department performance in a clear and binary way.
  • Successfully provide direction to multiple coordinated teams that work on large-scale, high-impact, high cost projects. 


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ of progressive experience in Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, people management and technical management skills.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Strong human relations skills and ability to work collaboratively with global business and resource unit groups.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to form effective working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience.
  • Oracle/ERP deployment and upgrade experience.
  • General understanding of infrastructure platforms and technologies, e.g. personal computers, servers, network, windows, active directory, etc.
  • Arconic institutional knowledge regarding information technology systems and processes.
  • Information Technology experience in a large complex manufacturing organization.
