Accountability Objectives
Under the direction of the Corporate Director of Manufacturing Intelligence and Smart Manufacturing, this position is accountable for the deployment of the Digital Automation strategy, development and execution of systems and technologies based on ISA95 Standard. This position is to:
• Devise and deploy smart manufacturing roadmap and standards at Arconic with preferred MES and Historian as identified with Arconic IT
• Devise and deploy the process of best practice for Smart Manufacturing through a centralized and standardized approach.
• Conduct Workshops at Arconic Plants to educate plant technical leaders on Automation strategy and tactical activities.  Facilitate the development of plant-specific tactical projects. Inform and educate plant lead team on automation strategy and their role in culture advancement.
• Using self-serve approach, provide technologies and training on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) tools for entire supply chain to facilitate Data to Actionable Intelligence.
• Support the standardization of Manufacturing KPI based on Lean Manufacturing, and use web and cloud technologies to deliver KPI on demand when and where needed.
• Actively support the implementation of Smart Manufacturing at Arconic through participation in the Rapid Deployment Team and coaching of locations that are starting their SM journey

Job Dimensions:
The primary purpose of this position is to devise and deploy Manufacturing Intelligence toolkits and lead Smart Manufacturing projects which enhance performance in our operations and in the smart manufacturing journey.
• Partnership with Arconic Corporate IT to ensure deployment of preferred SM platforms
• Leadership of Digital Automation team and influence working with other locations to implement MES or Historian or other elements of ISA95
• A deep understanding of strategy, change management, and project management to support SM culture expansion
• A working knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement strategies
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for all levels of the organization
• Project management skills in Digital Automation and having completed actual projects in automation


Basic Qualifications (Minimum):
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years engineering and maintenance experience in a manufacturing/plant environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience involving operational technologies and processes
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science from an accredited institution.
• Experienced in IT and OT Systems, Technologies and Infrastructure.
• Experienced in Web and Cloud deployment
• Practical experience with automation hardware and software, and MES and Historian platforms
• Strong project management skills. Must be able to work independently as a sponsor and a team leader on multiple projects.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding and practical application of systems analysis and technical skills.
• Possess leadership ability and effective oral and written communication skills; possess organization, attention to detail, multi-tasking, planning and decision-making abilities, good analytical skills, and project management abilities; and be a creative and competent team builder.
