Job Description

The principle role of this position is to prepare and schedule production lots to the mill in a timely manner and to prepare completed lots for retention. Additionally, the position provides limited administrative support to the entire U2 production planning organization. The incumbent recognizes that accident prevention is equal in importance to production, quality, delivery, and cost control and accepts the responsibility to work safely and promote safety consciousness among fellow employees. This position is accountable for:
  • Printing and preparing lot tickets to be processed, picking up extruded lot tickets from press, and preparing finish paperwork
  • Verifying ingot use recorded in shop floor against ingot use logged on press tickets.
  • Verifying recorded shop floor finished pieces per information logged on press ticket.
  • Making appropriate corrects if necessary on Developer 2000.
  • Scheduling lots using LF503 report for availability
  • Preparing completed reports and performance reports on lots
  • Providing alloy and cast sample information to the lab
  • Providing any available information on all scheduling and planning to appropriate departments when needed
  • Using IBM C8099 to move materials when needed
  • Updating print files and notifying Tool and Die on drawings or inconsistencies in drawing
  • All administrative duties for office such as distributing mail and ordering supplies
  • Filling in for the lot planner when absent
  • Doing checks and balances on material packed or shipped


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School or GED from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and production staff
  • Ability to constructively handle confidential information
  • Receptionist/Secretarial skills
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • High level of integrity
  • Self-motivation
