Job Description

Job Summary:
Clean and polish sawed titanium aircraft parts using various tools and machines.

Fundamental Duties:
  • Back burr flat parts
  • Deburr flanges sawed
  • Ability to polish cutouts
  • Grind parts without thinning the material thickness below specifications
  • Self-Inspector Titanium Parts
  • Operate the Automated Finisher
  • Use hand grinders, rotary files, and sanding sleeves
  • Ability to train other deburr/cleanup employees
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

Skill & Competency Requirements:
  • Required to adjust, focus, sand, grind and polish titanium to meet customer specifications
  • Required to read tools, work orders, and mapping
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception
  • Required to read and interpret production orders and safety, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals
  • Required to have basic knowledge of math, math equations and various measuring instruments
  • Must work a full-time schedule and overtime as required
  • Must have basic computers skills
  • Must have problem solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work with others
