Arconic is currently in search of a Customer Service and Service Support to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) business unit in Lancaster, PA.
GRP is a dynamic global organization that offers the widest variety of aluminum plate and sheet in the world. GRP is made up of Arconic's rolling operations around the world and is Arconic's most global group with manufacturing and commercial sites in North America, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Asia, and Russia. GRP produces the widest variety of aluminum sheet and plate products in the world. Our aluminum is the foundation for many products serving customers in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, building and construction, and automotive systems and distribution.
Position Description:
Be part of a team of customer service resources that interacts with internal and external customers and manufacturing facilities throughout GRP. This position requires detailed knowledge of key systems, products, processes and procedures to service an assigned account base. 

Administration Major Deliverables:
  • Administrative accuracy of customer PO‘s – entering and verifying customer purchase orders;
  • Assist the customer service department to eliminate waste by continually looking for opportunities to automate administrative processes currently performed manually;
  • Provide the customer service department with first level help chain assistance.
  • Develop and maintain queries and other reports as required by the sales service unit;
  • Compile information for maintaining and distributing daily, weekly and monthly reports;
  • Create/Maintain charts to track department metric;
  • Create/Maintain electronic logs to track outstanding form Perform pricing audits as required;
  • Tax-Exempt Certificate verification.
Customer Sales and Service Major Deliverables:
  • Manage the customer order cycle process. This includes, but is not limited to, metal buying, bookings, standard order entry, scheduling, pricing, status checks, expediting, releasing shipment, and resolving related problems involving the plant, marketing and credit;
  • Familiarization with personnel in sales and marketing and the business unit;
  • Develop an understanding of the BU’s flat-rolled products, manufacturing flow paths, characteristics, and sizes to effectively enter customer purchase orders;
  • Answer Cold Calls and forward information to appropriate CSSR.
A training program is offered that covers key aspects of the job. During the training program and the customer service role, you will need to quickly acquire, integrate and use knowledge in a variety of areas, such as:
  • Knowledge of administrative and advanced clerical procedures;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to tactfully, expeditiously and professionally interact with internal and external customers;
  • Systems knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, Adobe Acrobat, AS400, Oracle, CRM;
  • Navigating through multiple and systems used in the job, along with proficient keyboarding skills and attention to detail;
  • Understanding product line and how it relates to customer orders;
  • Understanding plant production processes and appropriate plant contacts for different situations;
  • Understanding commercial policies, procedures and help chain process;
  • Ability to extract and interpret data from databases and apply it to processes.


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a United States citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree from an accredited university;
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a Customer Service role in an industrial/manufacturing environment;
  • Minimum 3-years of progressively responsible experience in a sales & customer service position.
