Job Description

Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for a Customer Application Specialist to support aerospace customer locations.  Position responsibilities include demonstrations and installation of fastener tooling, technical and troubleshooting support and specialized training to customer's operators and maintenance employees. This position reports to our tool manufacturing plant in Kingston, NY, however, position can work remotely.

Support AFS at customer locations to include demonstration and installation of tooling, technical and troubleshooting support, and specialized training of customer's operators and maintenance employees in the maintenance and repair of AFS tools.  Work with and assist engineering and sales representatives in analyzing customer problems; collaborate with engineering personnel in evaluating new designs for installation equipment. Identifies new tooling potential at customer locations.  Communicates new fastener concepts and application details to Kingston management.  Position requires approx. 50% travel.
 
Specific Duties
 
•       Designs and provides technical training on equipment usage, maintenance and repair for major customers.
•       Provides technical and troubleshooting support to customers on the complete fastener installation system.
•       Conducts product demonstrations, with Sales Representatives for customers, trade shows and other organizations as directed.
•       Provides technical advice and assistance to Sales Representatives in the capacity of Senior System Specialist.
•       Sources and develops additional sales opportunities for AFS products whenever possible, at various levels of the customer's organization.
•       Makes periodic customer contacts to give recommendations on installation equipment products.
•       Provides input to Research and Development group on new tool designs and changes, and new and updated tooling.
•       Implement sales and promotional programs, new product information, etc. directed toward specific industry or customer business.
•       Provides Sales input for Annual Sales forecasting and planning
 
 
 

Qualifications

 
Basic Qualifications:
•       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
•       Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales and/or customer service in           pneumatic and/or pnuedraulic tooling business.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
•       Fastener knowledge preferred.
